Pink Ribbon budsJuly 13, 2013

I thought it was clever ~ the name of this post, that is.  A collection of some of my best (and favorite) images of floral buds.  Originally uploaded to my website in 2010, I’ve taken out some of the photos and inserted some new, fabulous ones that I hope you will enjoy as much as I have, and still do.  Take the pink ribbon blooms at left, for instance.  They are the tiniest of buds, actually growing on a succulent.  I took this one with my wonderful macro lens that was able to capture the incredible detail of God’s handiwork–isn’t His work magnificent?  I’m constantly awestruck by the variety, detail and colors that God put together in creation, all the way down to this little example of elegance.

Any of these images are available as note cards.

  1. You need to have a show of your own. You have brought out such fine detail of each flower that I never would have normally seen. Such color and grace with each one of these…..beautifully captured!

  2. Beautiful! I would be hard-pressed to pick favorites, as all of them have vivid colors and nice compositions. As far as personal favorite flowers, I like the sunflowers, daisies, and rose(s).

  3. Beautiful – What a way to capture the beauty of God’s creation to remember.

  4. All these “buds” remind me that we are all so different even if we are with so many of the “same”…

  5. Your work is stunning and inspiring!
